Strategic Design

Humans are trained to analyze and interpret design parameters at great speed - this is what we call intuitive perception.

Style guides are essential for the success of a brand's design strategy. Here is an insight into the work for Sonova | Audiological Care.

Size and stability symbolize the branding of the eCommerce brand LIBAKO. Here as an application in the context of a photographic jungle theme.

If the parameters of a brand or product meet the set expectations of our multi-layered analysis system, or if these expectations are even exceeded, impulses are triggered:

"I like that".
"I want to have that".
"I remember that".
"I trust".

Your advantage:

A meaningful design that is not only perceived as "beautiful" but also understood - in all media.

What is strategic design?

Brands and products communicate through visual and haptic characteristics. Through the specific combination of shapes, colors, fonts, symbols, images and materials, information is transmitted - people perceive value, a benefit or a desirability. Strategic design is the analytical and purposeful design of brands and products. All parameters are varied to trigger desired impulses.

Why that precision?

The character and positioning of brands and companies is shaped by strategic design. Customers initially perceive a website, store signage, or packaging without having looked at the exact service offerings or how it works. Strategic design gives the customer the first impulse, but also plays on memories or triggers emotions. So strategic design is key to achieving a defined goal.

How to design strategically?

Development always begins with an analysis. This involves thinking outside the box. It's about a more universal view: In which zeitgeist was the target group shaped most intensively? What brand and material patterns does the target group surround itself with? Which colors or shapes appeal to the target group? The questionnaire is never fixed. Parameters are prioritized and bundled in such a way that a clear goal is described. So after answering the goal-oriented, analytical questions about target group perception, it's time for implementation.

Strategic design is interdisciplinary. Different trades work together in development, depending on the needs and objectives: Graphic Design, Product Design, UI/UX Design, Photo Design, Packaging Design, Architecture, etc....

So, the result is not based on assumptions, pi by thumb algorithms or personal preferences of a designer. The most important principle in strategic design is: never design for yourself, design for the target audience.

Often, the success of design developments fails because personal preferences are brought in and thus distort the result. The resulting design communicates, but in a language that the target audience does not understand.

For us the principle applies:

Design follows strategy.

Interior design is an integral part of strategic design, depending on the industry. Shown here is a solution for the hearing care brand HearingPro.
